    This was cool! Loved your headline too! Don't forget that she has the challenge of communicating through 160 characters or risk sending several pages of a text messages, which may or may not be sent in the correct order.

    Thanks Corvida! 160 characters? It's hard to tell how many she enters when her thumbs are moving faster than the speed of light:)

    I have recently discovered twitter. I like it too. I have been using it as a networking tool. My oldest daughter texts her friends all the time. It's pretty much non stop.

    I was totally against her getting a cell phone in the beginning because I was afraid that she wouldn't do her homework. We have rules for when she can't use it, but other than that it's glued to her thumbs.

    I am putting this off as long as possible. My husband already refers to my laptop as my mistress...I don't know if he'd appreciate me adding more technology to the mix!

    It seems kids have different obsession. We haven't given our kids access to the mobile phone yet so they are more attached to their instant messenger, IRC, Friendster/MySpace profile pages.

    Thanks Jeremy for referring me to Disqus. I just installed it in my blog and look forward to see it work. =)

    Now, now, Jeremy.

    I just signed up with Mixx after reading something you wrote on it - let me get used to that before trying out Twitter.

    I guess I just showed my age. I have 2 teenage daughters, and hear you about the texting. They would have immediately jumped into trying out something new.

    How old do kids around you get there own telephones?
    In France, in the countryside, where I live, 11 years is the natural time to start thinking about it. That's when the kids start going to "collège" - I guess that's junior high. In the country side that often translates to kids being in schools a little further from home. More parental taxi jobs. And giving 11 year olds a phone makes life easy;

    But that is a bit young for texting.

    So, I wonder if there is a "natural" age limit for Twitter? And have I reached it...?

    Hi Jeremy, judging from Twitter I guess you're pretty busy right now, but I must say I tend to agree. In fact, I wrote about that a while back, that my take was, "Twitter is asynchronous instant messaging for adults."

    The asynchronous part is important for adults, because we're already busy, not bored. I love Twitter, too, because it's a great way to network and share information.
