I wonder what would happen if somebody actually put out a show similar to Father Knows Best or Leave it Beaver now...there are so many of us "Dad bloggers" and "Man Bloggers" out there on the internet, who knows? Perhaps it would work out...
  • jnbammer · 1 year ago
Cory I think it would work if you played Ward!?! ;-)

Wonderful! My favorite observation here is that it's okay to act like a big goof when you have your son with you. It's like your kids are an all-access pass ot being silly and doing kid stuff. Amen, brother!

I agree Tom! Kids bring out the kids in us, and that's a-ok!

Another great Spotlight, as usual. Jared's blog wasn't in my roll, but it is now.

    Thanks.

Glad to make the connection Jason!

"Realizing that you do not know everything is an important part of becoming a good parent."

That piece of advice is VERY simple....and VERY perfect. As brand new dad, you think you are going to do things differently. You will be better than all the rest and will not succumb to what everyone else does...wrong

However, one other point..."if you can tell the difference between good advice and bad advice, then you probably don't need advice."
  • jnbammer · 1 year ago
Yeah, I can remember saying I'm not going to this or that, and once you realize what worked in the past worked for a reason, you do the same things that have always been done in many cases. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes though, and every once in a while come up with something new and exciting in our role as Dad. :-)

    Great interview. Nicely done, Jared.

It's kind of neat to read Jared's blog--I don't know him but we apparently live pretty close--I've been to the same spots in the zoo and been to COSI as well as some of the other places he blogs about visiting with Ace. That's kind of cool.

Kinda like me and Joeprah ;-) Although now Joe might be moving.... I definitely think it's cool to be near a fellow dad blogger!

Good interview all around. I completely agree with the insight that work somehow takes an immediate second to spending time with your family once you have a child. How did I ever think that was so important?
  • jnbammer · 1 year ago
Thanks Matt! Their both important, but family comes first.

Great interview Jared! I look forward to checking out your blog.

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading and commenting! Jeremy, thanks for putting me in the spotlight! I know I'm a little late to get over here and read all of the nice comments, but life seemed to get in the way of the ole' internet lately. Keep up the good work Jeremy!
