Thanks for sharing everything. I'm sure doing so helped you deal with this unfortunatel struggle. The blogging community, especially moms and dads, are quite a supportive bunch. I'm very glad to be part of it as you are too. I'm extremely happy to see Caitlin is doing well and finally at home. You were actually very fortunate that she recovered quickly and her stay was only 23 days. Two college friends of mine ended up getting married and having a child. Their little boy was born about six weeks early too. However, his stay in the NICU was about three months due to a series of complications. Of course, he's a strong (and big) boy now, so you would never even guess that he was ever in that type of situation. Babies are fighters. It's amazing.

How did the world ever survive without the Internet? How do those people who don't read/have blogs cope with anything? I don't know.

As I read your article it brought back memories of my family's process during the premature birth of Danielle - 25 weeks, 1lb 6oz . We have been blessed to have made it through with minimal hiccups and continue give thanks to God and the Doctors and Nurses that provided TLC in our time of weakness. God Bless You and Yours...
