Discovering Dad: Jammy Panty Party - Mother's Day '08

Those cupcakes sure do look good! I'm starting to realize that you and your family break out some serious baked goods at your events! Glad your wife had a good Mother's Day!

Us? Breakfast at a Hollywood hangout called Victor's (we love it because all the hipsters get up late, so we can get in and out before the crowd pours in), then just hanging out and playing at home. Also got the missus an iPod Nano. She now officially has a better iPod than me. DOH!

The cupcakes were not on the Discovering Dad Diet Plan, but everyone else seemed to enjoy them. Lori's family definitely likes to pull out all the stops for parties and holidays, which is cool. Sounds like you guys had a great day too Matt! We got my daughter Chani a Nano last year, and she loves it - great gift man!

I didn't resist the beer the night before though ;-)

that's such an excellent idea! for me, personally, my dad was pretty awesome - a posh dinner with mr lady and latte mommy, without a kiddo in tow. meaning, i got to leave the house childless! without crayons! or diapers! or one darn sippy cup!

that being said, i'm going to subtly leave this post in the bf's inbox next year - just in case he needs some ideas.

I heard that you all went out and had a mom's day - good food, decent drinks and good company!

I don't think I ever would have pictured a jammy panty party being related to Mother's Day, but that sounds like a great idea and I am sure it was thoroughly enjoyed.

It definitely was Derek! Hope you and your family had a fun day too!

That's awesome...it sounds like she had a wonderful mothers day!
I know that for me - when my husband went above and beyond to throw a 'secret' baby shower for me it was really special....I'm sure Lori felt the same way!

I can't take credit for the idea Kel - her family came up with it, and then I helped with everything at the house.

No Jammy party at our house. Our Mother's Day was surprisingly low key. I invested in a prenatal massage on Saturday night (for her, not me) and on Sunday we spent the day relaxing, which included enjoying our 88 degree weather at the pool. Sometimes it's good to just have nothing going on.

I know what you mean Jason. I can't wait to have one of those relaxed days.

that confetti looks awfully stiff....did you break out a ruler and measure the exact centimeters apart? HA!

Looks like a bunch of fun!

I did sleep in a coma like state until lunch time, what better way to spend Mothers day than under your covers?!
