CONGRATS! yup, kids are frickin' awesome! Ya gotta love em. I'm sorry to hear the cutie has to stay in the hospital for a few days, being the consummate optimist I am . . . it says SLEEP to me. Enjoy it, by the time she gets home ya gonna be saying, can we send her back once or twice a week. :)

Best to discovering mom as well. She did all the work!

Lori is amazing! She didn't complain at all, and you could hardly tell that she was in labor. She continues to amaze me with every new adventure in our life! I'm a lucky man!

We were pleased with her weight and length for being so early too. Other babies in the NICU are very little, which I'm sure is very nerve racking for their parents.

That kid is adorable. I remember how weird it was when mine came. You know them so well, but you don't. It's a strange, yet truly satisfying feeling. Props to mom for hanging in there for 21 hours! And props to you, Jeremy, because dads never get props when kids are born. :)

Congratulations to you and the entire family! She's a beauty! So tiny too! I think mine weighed that much when I was still six months along, 'cause all mine were well over 9 pounds each! One of my sons weighed 11 lbs! Many hugs and congrats to welcome your new little one into the world. Get some sleep, you're gonna need it! :)

Aw! Congrats, Jeremy, I'm so happy for ya! And holy god, I'm proud of your wife, too. No where in my 26 hours was I reading or making sure my makeup was looking right. Me? Screaming and asking for drugs and crying and carrying on as such. I think she just proved what an incredible wimp I am!

Lori seemed to be in a lot more pain when Ty was born than this time around. Ty was early too, but only 3 weeks instead of 6 weeks. Maybe that had something to do with it? I'm sure you're not a wimp!

Yay!!! Congratulations you guys! She's beautiful! And, already taking a bottle like a big girl!

I know how hard it is to come home from the hospital without your baby. I did it twice. My daughter spent seven weeks in the NICU and my son was there for three. BUT, there is something REALLY fantastic about it...and that's because NICU babies come home and they're already on a schedule! It's great! Every three hours. You can set your clocks by it. If you have any preemie questions, I'm an open book. Ask away!

We're hoping a week will be enough for her, but it all depends. Jaundice showed up today, so she will need to get rid of that along with the other hurdles.

I know - it was not the kind of labor/delivery that I expected. Lori impressed me greatly because she doesn't normally have a really high tolerance for pain. She was a trooper though!
